Magis Americas

Advancing Education and Life Skills in Latin America and the Caribbean

Magis Philanthropists Circle

Magis Philanthropists Circle is a unique philanthropic vehicle for social and economic change in the Americas. It brings together families and individuals committed to catalyzing a hemispheric initiative in education and livelihood skills that will bring dignity, opportunity and prosperity to poor communities throughout Latin America and the Caribbean over the course of the next 20 years.

Together, Magis Philanthropists Circle members collectively commit $5 million over the next five years to initiate highly-leveraged alliances and action partnerships that will dramatically increase the availability of high-quality primary and secondary school education coupled with highly effective life skills training in disadvantaged communities throughout the region.

Magis Philanthropists Circle is a principals-only, multigenerational group of peers from North and South America who come together periodically to share their philanthropic experiences, develop personal ties and join in strategy development for this initiative. They visit countries to see firsthand the activities their contributions support. Membership is structured by family, enabling participation either by a single member, by a couple, or by inter-generational participation among all family members, including young adults.

If you feel this program fits your interests, we would be happy to hear from you -- please contact Bruce Schearer, CEO of Magis Americas, to discuss how you can participate.
