While 2016 was undoubtedly a challenging year for the country of Venezuela, the solidarity shown from the United States has been overwhelming. Thanks to the generosity of 68 individuals who donated more than $89,000, Friends of Fe y Alegría was able to support seven projects that directly benefitted over 73,000 boys, girls, men and women! Below are just a few of those 73,000 participants who took the time to say ¡gracias! for being a part of the change in Venezuela.

The “Mothers as Peace Promoters” project supported a national non-formal education initiative that promotes peace and citizenship by empowering more than 480 women in their role as mothers in areas such as Valencia, Guayana, Barquisimeto, Miranda, Caracas and Maracaibo.
